Refrigerated Foods Association Appoints
New Executive Director
The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Erik S. Lawser, CAE as its new Executive Director. Mr.
Lawser began his new position on June 1.
As Executive Director, Mr. Lawser will be responsible for leading the
RFA in alignment with its mission, goals, and objectives, managing the
day to day operations, and developing member services to enhance the
value of RFA membership. He will also be actively involved
in planning and executing the RFA’s Conferences & Symposiums
as well as marketing and promoting the RFA, its members, and the refrigerated
foods industry as a whole.
Mr. Lawser comes to the Refrigerated Foods Association with extensive
association management experience from working with the Wood Component
Manufacturers Association (WCMA) over the past 6 years. The
WCMA represents 150 manufacturers of dimension and wood component products
for the cabinet, furniture, moulding & millwork, flooring, building
products and related decorative wood products industries. Member
companies are located throughout the United States and Canada.
While working for the WCMA, Mr. Lawser earned his Certified Association
Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association
Executives (ASAE), increased membership levels to all-time highs, and
implemented marketing and promotion programs among many other accomplishments. He
is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Business
Administration degree.
