Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

 

 

The Collection and Use of Information

You are free to visit the RFA Web site without identifying yourself, but if you'd like to register for an event, join as a member, or submit your information for any other reason through our online forms, you will need to provide required personal and/or company information.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information.

Submitting your information via any of our Web site forms grants RFA permission to contact you and your company via fax, mail or e-mail, with no expiration date, unless revoked in writing.

We collect the domain names of visitors to our Web site, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages are accessed or visited, user-specific information on what pages are accessed or visited and information volunteered by the visitor, such as survey information, applications for membership and requests for member services.

In the case of RFA members, we also collect the postal address, telephone and fax numbers. This information is collected at the time that members fill out a Membership Application or Membership Listing Update Form. We collect this type of information when you provide it, and we may make our members’ mailing information available to RFA member companies for targeted promotions. If you do not want us to share your mailing information with any third party, please let us know by contacting the RFA Office (see contact information at bottom of page) and we will honor your request.

We use the information you provide during membership application to process your membership. It will be entered into our membership database and used to contact you regarding all member-related issues. We use the information you provide during a registration process to complete your registration, print your badge, provide customer service assistance, and include in our event directory.

We use the information you provide about yourself when registering for an event only to complete that registration. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that registration.

We use the information you provide about someone else to contact them with membership information. We do not share this information with outside parties except to other members as needed to follow-up.

We use return e-mail addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We do not make the names or other identifying information of our Web site visitors available to organizations outside RFA. Identifying information gathered online will not be sold, shared or otherwise distributed to anyone outside of RFA. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Web site, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Upon request via postal mail, e-mail, or telephone, RFA will provide to visitors who submit personal information a summary of the information retained by RFA about the visitor. Visitors may modify, correct, change, or update their personal contact information or membership information, or cause their personal contact information to be removed from RFA's database.

RFA does not knowingly solicit data from minors, nor do we knowingly market to minors.

We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. RFA utilizes SSL (secure socket layers) to protect your information when submitting forms online through our website. When you use SSL, all communication between the server and the browser (all information you input) is encrypted. You can tell when you are using SSL by looking at the URL - it starts "https://" Also, most browsers show a visual indicator, e.g., Netscape has an unbroken key or locked padlock in the bottom left-hand corner of the browser (on the Status Bar), Internet Explorer has a padlock that is locked toward the bottom right-hand corner of the browser (also on the Status Bar).

Cancellation Policy

The RFA has a “no refund policy” for cancellation of any RFA Event Registration or RFA Membership Payment, unless specifically stated on the event registration form.Therefore, no refunds will be made for cancellations of membership or event registrations including “no-shows.”

In the case of event registrations, an RFA member already registered for the event may transfer his/her registration to another employee within his/her company with advance notification to the RFA office.


This cancellation policy applies to all RFA membership applications, event registrations, and other materials made available for sale. All terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy are subject to change without notice.
